Location:

Cambridge,MA,

Gender:

Male

Goal Type:

Boston Qualifier

Running Accomplishments:

Short list: marathon 3:25:46 (Seattle '07) half-marathon 1:36:56 (Whidbey '07) 12k 53:02 (Rhody Run '07). Plus second overall in the '08 Northwest Passage relay, though that was mostly Cody's doing. If only they'd told me back in high school that five-seven is too short for basketball I'd have picked up on this running thing years ago.

Short-Term Running Goals:

Hoping to stabilize my mileage base at around 55-60 without blowing a gasket. Beyond that, I'm still trying to get a sense of my abilities and limitations. BQ and a 40 min 10K seem like reasonable goals.

Long-Term Running Goals:

I gots some 5:00 miles in me somewhere. Then there's the Iron Man fantasy (assuming I can learn a stroke besides the dog paddle)

Personal:

I know a secret technique for opening mangos taught me by a Wolof sorcerer. I was briefly a political appointee at the U.N. I work in public health research in the Boston area.

Minuteman trail. Great weather. Ran with one of the casewriters from work, pace was slowish but picked up at the end. Total time 1:40. First run of that length in quite some time, felt very good!
